Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, goods, and services to meet operational requirements
• Interpret demand requirements to make strategic procurement decisions
• Analyze and quantify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans
• Manage procurement activities including issuing purchase orders, expediting, and resolving discrepancies
• Oversee projects with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
• Analyze vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and price
• Coordinate nonconformance issues with internal teams and suppliers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
• At least 5 years of purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Fundamental understanding of Lean principles
• Ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization
