About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze and process inventory and non-inventory requisitions to determine appropriate supply sources
- Perform purchase order administration to ensure timely deliveries
- Conduct price and cost analysis to obtain favorable economic purchases and drive cost reductions
- Maintain supplier databases to ensure data integrity
- Support new product development by involving suppliers in initial design phases
- Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and ethical standards
Requirements
- 2-year Associate's Degree
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Immediate knowledge of purchasing principles, computer techniques, and manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year College degree
- Experience with MfgPro, QAD, or MQ1
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
