Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across electronics, build-to-print, and consumables categories
• Lead RFQ/RFP events and negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms
• Manage supplier performance reviews, corrective action plans, and strategic partnerships
• Partner with engineering on component selection, availability risk, and obsolescence planning
• Lead procurement standardization initiatives and support ERP enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience
• Minimum 5 years in the electronic component industry
• Proven track record in leading supplier negotiations
• Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in build-to-print manufacturing (machining, fabrication, assembly)
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or electronics manufacturing
• Proficiency with Oracle EBS
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001
• Supply chain certifications (APICS/ASCM, ISM, CPSM, CPM)
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• Experience managing commodity portfolios over $5 million
