Senior Business/Facilities Planner

Responsibilities

• Support the Site’s Capital Project portfolio by providing technical and leadership expertise in business case development and economic evaluations
• Assess opportunities consistent with business strategies, plans, and needs to support project development
• Lead the identification of potential business options and perform preliminary competitive assessments
• Coordinate the development of scoping cost and schedule estimates in collaboration with other organizations
• Develop comprehensive economics and business cases, including sensitivity analysis on project viability
• Lead process optimization studies to identify capital or operational cost savings and process configuration alternatives
• Facilitate Project Gates and coordinate the development and approval of Gate Forms and Appropriation Requests
• Provide facility engineering input to ensure safety, reliability, and operability requirements are met
• Engage with Business Teams to align on capital project prioritization within the assigned site

Requirements

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent degree
• 10-15 years of direct capital project development experience supporting a manufacturing site

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and experience in general refining or chemical processes
• Working knowledge of carrying out project economic evaluations for investment
• Experience with process design standards and good engineering judgment to mitigate hazards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
