Senior Business Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Own accounts receivable end-to-end, including billing, collections, and reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor payments
• Manage relationships with external bookkeepers and tax advisors
• Administer expense platforms and ensure policy compliance
• Own the company compliance calendar, including state registrations and business licenses
• Drive monthly budget reviews and variance analysis with department leads
• Co-own monthly finance reviews and prepare investor/board-ready financial materials
• Support annual planning cycles, headcount modeling, and opex forecasting
• Build and maintain financial models for long-range planning
• Manage vendor evaluation, renewals, and procurement process improvements
• Lead cross-functional process improvement projects to increase operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in business operations, finance operations, or FP&A
• Strong financial modeling skills and advanced spreadsheet proficiency
• Ability to translate financial data into clear narratives for leadership and investors
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and accountability-driving skills
• Scrappy, high-ownership mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity
• Default to using AI and automation to build scalable solutions
• High level of discretion and integrity with confidential data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a Series A/B-stage company during rapid growth
• Experience supporting board reporting and investor communications
• Background in edtech, SaaS, or marketplace businesses
• Experience with procurement optimization or vendor consolidation
