About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver corporate business strategies and territory plans to achieve sales forecasts and departmental objectives.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities from existing clients and acquire new clients within the European and global pharmaceutical industry.
  • Manage the full sales process, including lead generation, solution pitching, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain the sales pipeline and ensure all administration is current using Salesforce CRM.
  • Create client proposals and facilitate the timely handover of won business to Project, Operational, and Quality teams.
  • Develop and implement business development marketing strategies, territory plans, and departmental KPIs.
  • Onboard, train, and lead the Associate Business Development Executive, providing regular feedback and development plans.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry conferences and events.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience within a Pharmaceutical organization or Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
  • Extensive experience in the clinical supply field, preferably in a contract environment.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Standards, including GMP, GCP, and GDP.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate at a senior management level.
  • Willingness to travel on company business.

  • Experience in managing change and organizational growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability in key account management and long-term relationship development.
