Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with technology leadership to translate large-scale studio and infrastructure programs into business cases, capital plans, and executive narratives.
• Build CapEx/OpEx models for multi-tier investment proposals and develop ROI/cost-avoidance models for technology programs.
• Quantify infrastructure utilization across render farms, storage, and networks to build dashboards for demand forecasting.
• Translate production pipeline growth into infrastructure capacity requirements and develop chargeback models.
• Maintain technology roadmaps, headcount models, and resourcing plans.
• Produce executive-grade decks, one-pagers, and FAQs for finance and board-level audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years in technology strategy, business operations, or management consulting, ideally within media, entertainment, VFX, or gaming.
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel, including CapEx vs. OpEx structures and multi-year forecasts.
• Working fluency with cloud economics (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and FinOps concepts.
• Understanding of studio/VFX production workflows, including render farms, DCC tools, and storage tiers.
• Proficiency with SQL or BI tooling such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience supporting capital planning cycles in a production or media environment.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate technical architecture into business language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with hybrid-cloud architectures and render management tools like OpenCue or Deadline.
• Experience with DAM/MAM platforms or virtualization technologies like VMware or Proxmox.
