Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirements elicitation and own project specifications from start to finish
• Own the Business Specification Document (BSD) and secure formal sign-off from stakeholders
• Manage the project backlog in Jira with high accuracy, including User Stories, Epics, and bug reports
• Act as a trusted advisor and domain expert for the Australian banking landscape
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and squads to ensure UX and Solution Architecture align with the BSD
• Facilitate change request processes and manage customer expectations through engaging workshops
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and share best practices regarding product configuration and documentation
• Utilize AI tools to translate notes into high-quality, tight technical specifications

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
• At least 5 years of experience specifically within the Australian banking sector
• Deep domain expertise in areas such as retail banking, payments, deposits, loans, or wealth management
• Expert proficiency in creating Business Specification Documents (BSDs), Epics, and User Stories
• Advanced skills with Jira, Gemini, Google Workspace, and Miro
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Willingness to travel based on project needs
