Senior Bunker Trader

Responsibilities

• Manage a separate P/L by selling marine fuels and lubricants to an existing client base
• Develop new business through market analysis, research, and cold canvassing
• Execute active brokering and trading to ensure optimum rates for both the company and clients
• Prepare and process quotations, sales enquiries, sales confirmations, and contracts
• Monitor customer payments and manage any claims or legal actions involving customers or suppliers
• Maintain CRM systems and perform general administrative duties related to trading

Requirements

• Degree in Shipping or an equivalent field
• Proven experience as a Bunker Trader with an international trading company or physical supplier
• An existing client base built on personal relationships
• Deep understanding of the International Bunker business, including ports, suppliers, owners, and regulations
• Strong negotiation and sales skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and CRM maintenance
• Ability to work flexibly, including outside of normal working hours
