About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as interface between client, designers, and contractor on project work
  • Inspect properties, develop scope, budget, and programme for proposed works
  • Prepare tender documentation and specifications using NBS
  • Manage tender process, analyse returns, and recommend contractor appointments
  • Chair project meetings, administer contracts, and issue notices and correspondence
  • Monitor site works for quality, compliance, and health and safety
  • Undertake survey work including dilapidations, condition, pre-acquisition, and planned maintenance
  • Prepare reports and provide cost advice to clients

Requirements

  • Chartered Building Surveyor or close to APC completion
  • Experience in contract administration and project management
  • Knowledge of dilapidations, due diligence surveys, and schedules of condition
  • Understanding of construction technology and building defects
  • Awareness of health and safety and building regulations
  • Proficiency with CAD
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise work
