Senior Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams on small to mid-size projects or serve as a key technical member on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Perform quality control for design calculations, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates
• Identify and analyze principal design features and major alternatives to meet client needs and project purposes
• Produce high-quality final design plans, specifications, and estimates for bridges, highway interchanges, and railroad infrastructure
• Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and the development of project documentation
• Assist Project Managers with monitoring project budgets, schedules, and client relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of bridge and/or structural design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
• Proficiency in MS Office, Mathcad, and LEAP software
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience with CDOT, ADOT, NDOT, NMDOT, UDOT, WSDOT, or Caltrans standards
• Experience with Design-Build or other alternative delivery methods (PDB, CMGC, CMAR, P3)
• Expertise in rail bridge design (High-Speed, Commuter, Freight, or Light rail)
• Experience in seismic design or complex bridge design
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Open Bridge Modeler (OBM), or Open Bridge Designer (OBD)
