Senior Bridge Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams on small to mid-size projects and perform quality control for design calculations and plan development
• Identify and analyze principal design features and major design alternatives to meet client needs
• Produce high-quality final design plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable standards
• Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications and contract documents
• Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and the development of project documents
• Assist Project Managers with monitoring project budgets and schedules
• Support the Bridge Team Lead in managing client relationships and business development

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of bridge and/or structural design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in CO or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
• Proficiency in Mathcad, LEAP, and SAP2000
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Open Bridge Modeler (OBM), or Open Bridge Designer (OBD)
• Experience with Design-Build or other alternative delivery methods (PDB, CMGC, CMAR, P3)
• Experience in rail bridge design or seismic design
