About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning pipelines from raw data ingestion through production deployment.
  • Develop predictive models for DNA-Encoded Library (DEL) screening data and other high-dimensional biomedical datasets.
  • Implement and fine-tune deep learning architectures, including transformers, graph neural networks, and generative models.
  • Perform rigorous exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization to identify patterns in large biomedical datasets.
  • Establish and maintain MLOps best practices, including model versioning, pipeline automation, and experiment tracking.
  • Collaborate with structural biologists, medicinal chemists, and bioinformaticians to translate scientific questions into ML solutions.
  • Present technical findings and model performance to both technical collaborators and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree with 4 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing machine learning models in drug discovery or biomedical domains.
  • Strong expertise in Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Experience with MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Airflow).
  • Hands-on experience with high-dimensional biomedical datasets or DEL data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building transformers, graph neural networks, or generative models for molecular property prediction.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate on new model architectures for drug discovery.
