Senior Bioinformatician

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate computational approaches for scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, secretomics, and proteomics data
• Develop or adapt methods for perturbation modeling, causal inference, and multi-omics integration
• Architect end-to-end analysis workflows in Python and/or R using workflow orchestration like Nextflow or Snakemake
• Partner with software and data engineers to productionize pipelines and define biological data architecture
• Drive biological insight by owning dataset analysis and communicating findings to experimental biologists and AI/ML researchers
• Shape data strategy by defining benchmarking and integration standards for downstream ML models

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Systems Biology, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field
• 2–5 years of post-PhD experience, preferably in industry
• Strong proficiency in Python for bioinformatics, specifically the Scanpy and scverse ecosystem
• Deep experience with scRNA-seq datasets, including QC, batch correction, and integration
• Experience with proteomics or secretomics analysis (e.g., Olink)
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments with tools like git, containers, and CI/CD
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-modal data integration (imaging, transcriptomics, and proteomics)
• Background in drug discovery, toxicology, or translational research
• Experience with representation learning or ML for biological data
• Familiarity with organoids, primary tissues, or organ-on-chip systems
