Senior Bioimage Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead conception, design, execution and analysis of tissue-based imaging assays including H&E, IHC, and spatial biology
• Build image analysis workflows to extract interpretable, multi-scale morpho-quantitative biomarkers
• Design workflow controls, stress tests, and scoring strategies to connect biological hypotheses with image-based measurements
• Work with pathologists to define annotation schemas and oversee WSI annotation for DPAI algorithm development
• Partner with bioinformatics and AI/ML teams to refine quantitative image analysis and DPAI workflows
• Drive image-based tumor phenotyping to characterize tumor, stromal, and immune cell populations
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring in bioimage analysis and TME characterization
• Guide operational deployment of workflows and automation for CLIA/CAP regulated environments
• Evaluate and integrate commercial and open-source image analysis tools and AI models

Requirements

• Ph.D. in biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, computational biology, or related field
• At least 6 years of postgraduate experience
• Proven expertise in tissue staining assays, IHC, imaging assay development, and quantitative histopathology
• Hands-on experience with image analysis platforms like ImageJ/FIJI
• Proficiency in advanced quantification methods using Python or R
• Experience with digital pathology annotation tools such as QuPath, CaMic, or Omero
• Experience with analysis platforms like HALO or Visipharm

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology expertise
• At least 3 years of experience in a regulated industry
• Prior experience developing digital pathology AI solutions
• Experience in immune-oncology biology and TME characterization
