Senior Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process legal invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines, rates, and firm policies
• Collaborate with the Pricing department to implement complex billing arrangements, including multi-payor and alternative fee arrangements
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of budgets and accruals for specified matters and provide variance analysis to attorneys
• Manage WIP, A/R, and on-account inventories for assigned partners to ensure accuracy
• Demonstrate expertise in e-billing requirements and communicate complex requirements to partners and the eBilling team
• Mentor and guide junior billers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely
• Handle high volumes of work and respond to ad hoc billing requests from partners

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of billing experience, preferably in a legal or law firm environment
• Proficiency with CMS Aderant or Elite billing software is required
• Strong technology skills, specifically advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional manner
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and an ownership mentality
