Senior Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process legal invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines, rates, and firm policies
• Collaborate with the Pricing department to implement complex billing arrangements, including multi-payor and alternative fee arrangements
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of budgets and accruals and provide variance analysis to attorneys
• Manage WIP, A/R, and on-account inventories for assigned partners to ensure accuracy
• Manage e-billing requirements and communicate complexities to partners to resolve issues
• Mentor and guide junior billers and handle ad hoc billing requests from partners

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of billing experience (legal billing or law firm experience preferred)
• Proficiency with CMS Aderant or Elite billing software
• Strong technology skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional manner
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines and work overtime when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
