Senior BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand and document BI requirements
• Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to define KPIs, reporting needs, and success criteria
• Translate business requirements into intuitive and impactful BI visualizations
• Develop proof of concepts (PoCs) to validate solution approaches and demonstrate value
• Develop BI solutions following enterprise architecture and data governance standards
• Drive adoption of best practices in data modeling, visualization, and performance optimization
• Work closely with BI developers, Data Engineers, and Analysts to develop interactive visualizations

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in a BI reporting environment
• 2 years of experience in a lead role working with business stakeholders
• Advanced Power BI development expertise including Power Query and DAX
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, and Procedures
• Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data transformation pipelines
• Proficiency in writing and debugging complex SQL queries and performance tuning
• Experience with version control using Git or Azure DevOps
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a Master's in Computer Science/Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft PL-300, AZ-900, or DP-900 certifications
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Computing
• Experience with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Power BI Report Builder
