About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage corporate benefit programs including health and welfare, 401(k), and frozen pension plans
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members managing Leave of Absence and Health & Welfare initiatives
  • Manage third-party vendors, actuaries, and consultants to ensure compliance and efficient service delivery
  • Develop analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making
  • Lead the Open Enrollment process, including strategy planning, coordination, and employee communication
  • Partner with internal departments such as Payroll, Finance, Legal, and HR Business Partners to ensure excellent service
  • Maintain an external focus on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the competitive environment
  • Oversee troubleshooting for system coordination between benefits administrators and HRIS/payroll systems

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of human resources experience with significant expertise in benefits administration
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and leading others
  • Proven ability to work with large employee populations (4,500+)
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
