About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing tailored financial advice.
- Develop and implement annual business development plans to maximize referrals through proactive outreach to small business and personal clients.
- Build and manage a network of internal and external referral sources to grow the bank's business.
- Conduct needs assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Resolve complex customer issues by applying advanced knowledge of bank products, services, and processes.
- Act as a role model for colleagues, providing in-the-moment coaching and supporting branch leadership activities.
- Ensure compliance with all risk, legal, and regulatory requirements to safeguard customer assets and privacy.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in banking, sales, or customer service.
- Valid registration to sell investment products as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, including cash flow cycles and cash management products.
- Proven ability to manage complex personal and small business lending applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
