Senior Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new backend features from concept to deployment to align with business goals.
• Improve core system architecture for better performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure using AWS services and refine CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and fine-tune monitoring, logging, and alerting using observability tools.
• Provide off-hours support for troubleshooting and responding to backend system incidents.
• Uphold high code quality through rigorous code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend development or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in Node.js or Python for building APIs and services.
• Solid experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL/SQL databases.
• Experience with Redis or similar caching systems.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in an asynchronous, remote environment.

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills under time pressure.
