Senior Backend & Platform Engineer

PhantomBuster is a web automation and data extraction SaaS that allows businesses to grow faster. Founded in 2016, we provide a toolbox of over 120 flows to help businesses automate finding and enriching data about potential customers.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools daily for code generation, reviews, debugging, and exploration
• Own end-to-end delivery of Platform projects, including scalability and sharding
• Maintain and evolve the API and its MCP compatibility layer
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance of systems
• Contribute to infrastructure using AWS, Docker, Ansible, and Pulumi
• Participate in weekly Support Duty and deployment rotations
• Write specifications, decision records, and documentation for led projects

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering, ideally in SaaS
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js (Koa)
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ/AMQP
• Solid AWS experience, Docker, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Ability to use React for end-to-end feature shipping with AI assistance
• Proven track record of operating real production systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payment system complexity
• Exposure to LLM or agentic AI (AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph)
• Experience with browser automation or scraping at scale
