Senior Backend Java/Kafka Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka
• Implement microservices and event-driven architectures
• Participate in all application lifecycle phases: design, development, testing, production, and maintenance
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous high-quality delivery
• Contribute to product quality through automated testing, test coverage, Sonar, and SOLID/YAGNI principles
• Perform evolutionary maintenance on existing applications
• Work within Agile SCRUM methodology in collaboration with Product, Design, and Tech teams

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Java and Kafka
• Proven experience with high-volume distributed systems
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of relational and document-oriented databases
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Mastery of Git and Agile SCRUM
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent communication in French

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the retail or large-scale distribution industry
