Senior Backend Java Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the backend API technology stack
• Work with product and design teams to translate end-user requirements into technical solutions
• Shape and implement technology and business solutions to drive competitive differentiation
• Develop creative and efficient solutions to enhance the client organization's technology stack
• Collaborate with team members to implement user stories, write tests, and deliver product functionality
• Communicate with internal IT teams to resolve technical dependencies
• Improve DevOps tooling

Requirements

• 4-6 years of total software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• Experience with JVM languages such as Java 8+, Kotlin, or Spring Boot
• Significant experience with RESTful API services in large-scale distributed applications
• Experience with microservice architectures, service discovery, and circuit breakers
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch)
• Experience with build tools and CI/CD (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines)
• Proficiency in engineering practices including code refactoring, design patterns, TDD, and application security
• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of NodeJS, Go-Lang, or Python
