Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the next generation of mobile communication services, including SMS, MMS, and RCS.
• Understand business requirements to design and implement core components for a real-world marketing automation platform.
• Design and implement high-quality application code to satisfy product requirements.
• Ensure product quality through rigorous code reviews and unit testing.
• Take ownership of significant product components throughout the design and implementation lifecycle.
• Fix bugs and implement system enhancements to maintain high performance and redundancy.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience building scalable, robust software platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Ruby, or Python (or equivalent object-oriented languages).
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Aerospike).
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong communication skills within a large, distributed development team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with container-based solutions.
• Knowledge or experience working with RCS (Rich Communication Services).
• Demonstrated experience with the quick adoption of AI tools and AI-based development practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.
