Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own core components for a high-throughput, real-world marketing automation platform
• Develop server-side APIs and services to support a highly distributed event pipeline processing tens of thousands of messages per second
• Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to develop roadmaps for next-generation multichannel marketing solutions
• Ensure high product quality through rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and bug fixing
• Take ownership of significant product components throughout the design and implementation lifecycle

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
• 4+ years of experience developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java, Ruby, or Python
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Elasticsearch
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., Aerospike)
• Proficiency with AWS and cloud-based environments
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with container-based solutions
• Experience in a fast-paced technology environment
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills within a large, distributed team
