Senior Backend Engineer

At You.com, we are building the AI Search Infrastructure that powers modern AI systems. Our platform combines proprietary vertical indexes with LLM-optimized retrieval systems to power AI agents, applications, and enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable backend systems and infrastructure
• Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and security
• Contribute to open-source projects and integrate cutting-edge technologies
• Optimize data pipelines and maintain production SQL and NoSQL databases
• Refactor existing systems to eliminate technical debt
• Establish architectural patterns and team best practices
• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams on deployment and monitoring

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying mission-critical REST/RPC services
• Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (k8s) and deployment pipelines
• Ability to debug system-level issues
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
