Responsibilities

• Build server-side validation for the metagame including currency, card upgrades, and progression
• Transition game logic from client-authoritative to server-validated for competitive PvP
• Implement matchmaking and cheat detection safeguards for a Deterministic lockstep PvP architecture
• Design APIs and player-state management for Unity client integration
• Collaborate with client developers and game designers from feature design through delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Extreme fluency in Golang (at least 1 year professional experience)
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL
• Background in high-scale systems
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Understanding of Unix-like environments
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
• Ability to work autonomously and be self-sufficient
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris
