Responsibilities

• Own and build backend-driven features for Paper.io 2
• Work closely with game designers, client developers, product, and data teams from design to launch
• Build scalable systems for progression, events, competition, social features, and live ops
• Provide technical ownership and challenge product/design choices to ensure scalability and robustness
• Reuse and extend Voodoo’s backend platform while maintaining high development velocity

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Extreme fluency in Golang
• Mastery of SQL and NoSQL
• Background in high-scale systems
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Understanding of Unix-like environments
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
• Strong analytical skills for solving complex scalability and performance problems
• Ability to work autonomously and self-sufficiently
