Responsibilities

• Own the backend architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability for millions of users
• Collaborate closely with product teams to shape and influence product decisions
• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and available backend systems
• Integrate and manage third-party services such as analytics, moderation, and cloud tools
• Define and promote best practices in reliability, observability, and infrastructure management
• Contribute to backend infrastructure evolution to support rapid product iterations
• Improve system performance and scalability for high-traffic distributed systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of excellent back-end programming experience
• Proficiency in Node.js
• Professional expertise in GCP or AWS
• Experience building APIs
• Experience with high traffic and distributed systems architectures
• Fluency in French
• Passion for the mobile consumer industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the existing tech stack (Fastify, Socket.io, Go, Firebase, MongoDB, Redis)
• Track record with a social media application
• DevOps skills including Terraform or CloudFormation
