Senior Backend Engineer

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning. The platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the development of new features
• Collaborate across the organization on system architecture, technology, and scaling decisions
• Mentor junior team members
• Design relational and non-relational data models for optimal storage and retrieval
• Drive technical architecture discussions and peer code reviews
• Partner with Data Science and Product teams to shape the roadmap

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience with Python
• 4+ years of experience building distributed systems at scale
• 4+ years of experience with a modern data stack (RDS, Databricks, Spark, Redshift, Kafka, Airflow, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Cody
• Experience evaluating and deploying LLM-based systems in production
• Deep SQL and data modeling expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing highly available APIs using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL
• Experience developing applied AI/ML-enabled features
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG architectures, or fine-tuning
