Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design technical and integration architectures, including development, runtime, and operations architectures.
• Define scalable solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns and microservices.
• Design message and event-driven architectures to automate business processes.
• Lead the implementation of large, complex solutions from requirement gathering to go-live.
• Provide technical design and consulting services, including architectural strategy and audits.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies for scoped solutions.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for integration technologies.
• Introduce and implement Agile processes within the existing team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 5+ years of intensive Java backend development and solution architecture experience.
• Proficiency with Java 8 or Java 11, Spring Boot, and API Security.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Working experience with MongoDB.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and DevOps tools (CI/CD).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of the full Agile software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide excellent technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PHP.
• Background in legacy platform migration.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and API gateways.
