Senior Backend Engineer - Search

Responsibilities

• Develop a cutting-edge Search Engine utilizing Node.js with TypeScript
• Manage extensive data volumes efficiently using Google BigQuery and integrate with Business Intelligence systems
• Build and enhance high-traffic APIs with minimal latencies
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA experts, and analysts
• Draft architectural decisions together with the Tech Lead and explore new technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend working experience
• 2+ years of experience building scalable APIs (Node.js, Python, or Go)
• Practical and recent experience with TypeScript or other typed programming languages
• Solid knowledge of SQL or No-SQL databases
• Ability to write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code
• Experience working in an English-speaking, agile environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
• Experience building Data Models using dbt
• Experience with MPP data warehouses like Redshift or BigQuery
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring solutions
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP
• Experience with orchestration services like Dagster or Airflow
• Experience with Machine Learning Models or LLM-based systems
