Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build markets automation systems to automate market creation and lifecycle management
• Engineer resolution infrastructure that integrates with external oracles, news feeds, and APIs
• Design event-driven automation using messaging and streaming platforms
• Own reliability, availability, and scalability across markets systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infra, and data teams
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python or Go (preferred), Rust, or Java
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, and event-driven architecture
• Experience building automation systems or workflow orchestration
• Ability to debug complex systems on Linux

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with prediction markets or financial data
• Familiarity with external data integrations like news feeds or sports APIs
• Production experience with Kafka, Pulsar, or similar streaming platforms
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and containers
