Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable backend services
• Optimize system performance for low latency, high throughput, and reliability
• Collaborate across teams to integrate machine learning components into production systems
• Lead technical initiatives including design, planning, implementation, and maintenance
• Drive initiatives to improve operational excellence
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture and engineering culture

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience in TypeScript, Node (ideally NestJS) or comparable frameworks
• Experience developing and maintaining highly scalable and reliable microservices
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and APIs
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as Kubernetes, GCP, or AWS
• Experience in leading technical projects with a 3-9 month horizon
• Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
