Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build interactive tools to help organizations model different paths to market and assess trade-offs between time, money, and technical risk
• Create intuitive interfaces to help diverse teams visualize complex dependencies and align with company goals
• Design interfaces for scientists and researchers to manage studies, track progress, and coordinate team work
• Leverage LLMs to help teams generate scenarios, infer scientific progress from unstructured data, and surface critical insights

Requirements

• 6-8 years of backend development experience with production systems at scale
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL
• Proven track record of building complex, scalable, reliable cloud-based software
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization
• Strong experience in data modeling and API design
• Collaborative mindset for working in small, fast-moving engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• AI/ML integration with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM providers
• Prompt engineering and RAG implementation experience
• Full-stack capabilities with React/TypeScript
• Experience mentoring other engineers
