Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build external-facing API endpoints
• Improve database and query performance
• Integrate with a wide range of third-party services
• Translate product requirements into reliable business logic
• Diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building external-facing APIs or designing 3rd party integrations
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2)
• Experience with asynchronous workflows and cloud environments
• Proficiency with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs and generative AI
• Experience with distributed systems
