Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation of microservices under a full DevOps model
• Build event-driven systems utilizing messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS
• Expose data via clean REST and gRPC interfaces
• Work extensively with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automated deployment pipelines
• Maintain a strong commitment to testing, from unit tests to full end-to-end coverage
• Collaborate within cross-functional agile teams including product leads, frontend engineers, and data teams
• Provide technical guidance and participate in code and architecture reviews
• Leverage modern AI tools like Claude and Cursor to increase productivity

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in Go or Python
• Experience building, deploying, and operating critical backend services in production
• Proficiency with distributed systems, messaging queues, and containerization
• Strong software engineering instincts including TDD, BDD, or DDD
• Excellent communication capabilities for an international environment
