Senior Backend Engineer (Drupal)

Responsibilities

• Develop new web applications primarily using the Drupal platform
• Write custom Drupal modules and architect new Drupal-based solutions
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and customers to ensure intuitive and visually appealing implementations
• Implement interactive web solutions and solve complex interaction challenges using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Set up new Drupal environments and manage existing CMS platforms
• Work on existing SEO pragmatic platforms and email-server projects

Requirements

• 3–5 years of PHP web development experience, with at least two years focused on Drupal
• Proficiency with Drupal 8+ (both development and administration)
• Experience developing custom Drupal extensions and themes
• Strong understanding of Drupal’s hook & API systems, views, entities, and taxonomies
• Firm grasp of Git-based source control and MySQL-based database concepts
• Competency in web services integrations (REST/SOAP) and Drupal Restful web services
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Drush and Docker
• Experience with e-commerce integrations and implementations
• Contributions to the open-source community
• Experience with caching and scaling techniques
