Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Build and manage microservices-based architectures with clean service boundaries
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs with a focus on performance, security, and reliability
• Implement event-driven systems using Kafka for real-time data processing
• Optimize database interactions using Hibernate/JPA
• Collaborate with frontend, data, DevOps, and product teams
• Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and engineering standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in backend engineering
• Strong proficiency in Java (Core and Advanced concepts)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
• Experience with Hibernate / JPA
• Expertise in designing and integrating REST APIs
• Practical experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, event streaming)

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and distributed systems
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
