Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own core backend services, data models, and business logic
• Build infrastructure for multi-step, asynchronous, and agentic AI workflows
• Own high-stakes integrations with EHRs and legacy healthcare platforms via APIs and RPA
• Create internal abstractions and tooling for rapid deployment of AI assistants
• Implement and maintain HIPAA-compliant architecture, authentication, and authorization

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and scaling backend systems in high-reliability environments
• Strong expertise in APIs, relational databases, async workflows, and distributed systems
• High ownership and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Strong cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security, authentication, or regulated environments
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance
