Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend features and APIs for the core platform
• Improve database performance, reliability, and real-time data processing
• Debug, profile, and optimize code to maintain low latency and system stability
• Collaborate with AI, frontend, and product teams to integrate new capabilities
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of the backend stack

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience building production-grade backends
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with SQL and data modeling (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experience with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of problems
• Startup mindset focused on quality and speed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Go, C++, or Java
• Linux debugging and performance tuning
• Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with data pipelines or analytical databases
• Interest in edge/cloud hybrid architectures
