Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into technical solutions and work with the team to ensure proper design, planning, and delivery
• Build and provide internal and external RESTful APIs to ensure fast and frictionless updates of backend products
• Embrace modern agile software development methodologies and extreme programming practices, including TDD and pair programming
• Constantly challenge and expand your knowledge of reliable software architecture, programming, and new technologies

Requirements

• Hands-on and recent experience with Laravel
• Experience developing synchronous APIs
• Experience working with message queue systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ, or equivalent
• Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, MySQL, and Redis or equivalent
• End-to-end ownership of your builds, including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response
• Ability to perform complex technical tasks independently while acting as a multiplier for team efforts
