Senior Backend DevOps Programmer

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, flexible, and high-performance modular game systems.
• Architect, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and zero-downtime deployments.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of software design and underlying server infrastructure.
• Implement server-side logic, including APIs, databases, authentication systems, and data processing pipelines.
• Analyze and debug complex software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Optimize software for efficiency and implement real-time monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and software requirements.
• Document software designs, code, and technical processes to facilitate maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, preferably in the gaming industry.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Strong understanding of backend/server technologies, specifically Node.js and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS or GCP) and managed services.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB.
• Proven experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with version control systems like GIT or Perforce.
• Experience working within Agile or Kanban methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with real-time multiplayer applications using WebSockets.
• Bilingualism in French and English.
