Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Partner with technical leaders to contribute to architecture, design frameworks, and roadmap planning.
• Drive features from prototype to production with end-to-end ownership.
• Lead key technical decisions for high-impact initiatives and provide engineering guidance.
• Coordinate release cycles, prepare release notes, and ensure production deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams in a hybrid/remote environment.
• Identify customer pain points and propose self-service automation solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
• Hands-on experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and design patterns.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare domains (PBM, NCPDP, HIPAA).
• Background in roles combining development with release or operations.
• Experience with Application & Performance Monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Pub/Sub, Kafka, or other event-driven messaging systems.
• Exposure to SRE/DevOps practices, including incident management and root-cause analysis.
