Senior Backend Developer - Integrations

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of high-impact backend solutions and enterprise API integrations from design to production.
• Architect innovative solutions and maintain enterprise-grade APIs to ensure interoperability and scalability across services.
• Build robust, cloud-native backend applications using Python within a serverless environment (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and major clients to gather technical requirements and refine product functionality.
• Drive technical leadership through code reviews, architectural decision-making, and ensuring security best practices.
• Design scalable systems capable of handling high-volume transactions while improving system observability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related professional experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript (React).
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including complex queries, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proven experience working with microservices, API-based paradigms, and distributed caching.
• Strong understanding of unit and integration testing (e.g., Playwright) and Git code management.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a hybrid/remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) or health technology industry.
• Experience acting as a technical lead for collecting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Proficiency in Linux environments using Bash, Zsh, or Node.js.
