Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate multiple backend services in C# / .NET including game-facing APIs, player profiles, and economy systems
• Own the analytics and data plane by designing schemas in OLAP/columnar stores and modeling ingestion pipelines
• Integrate monetization and attribution, including receipt validation and payment reconciliation
• Run real-time systems using pub-sub layers and key-value stores for chat, notifications, and leaderboards
• Operate hundreds of dedicated game servers and manage provisioning and health metrics
• Build internal admin and LiveOps consoles for configuration and A/B testing
• Work within Google Cloud using containerized services and managed data stores
• Pair with Unity engineers to ensure server-side authority and anti-cheat enforcement

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience with at least one live, monetized product shipped end-to-end
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET including async/await and dependency injection
• Experience with OLAP/columnar databases such as ClickHouse, BigQuery, or Druid
• Experience with document stores (MongoDB, DynamoDB) and key-value/pub-sub stores (Redis)
• Deep understanding of real-time and distributed systems (idempotency, eventual consistency, backpressure)
• English proficiency at B1+ level
• Russian proficiency at C1 level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping live-service mobile games
• Game-server orchestration experience (Agones, GameLift, Nakama)
• Mobile attribution/cost ETL integration experience (AppsFlyer, Adjust)
• Experience with modern web frameworks for admin UIs (Blazor, React, Vue)
