Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, architecture, and development of complex applications to modernize the OMC technology platform.
• Guide and mentor a team of developers through code reviews and professional development support.
• Design and develop high-performance, low-latency, and scalable real-time microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Develop common, reusable components and services adhering to best practices and architectural standards.
• Evaluate new strategic initiatives through Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and transition them into industrial-grade solutions.
• Ensure software reliability and performance using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
• Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including Spring framework and real-time messaging.
• Proven experience developing highly scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in ReactJS and core front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Redux.
• Experience with real-time messaging middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) database technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, design patterns, OOP, and algorithms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with in-memory datastore/cache libraries like Redis, Apache Ignite, or Gemfire.
• Exposure to Kotlin and multi-threaded applications.
• Experience with system performance tuning and low-latency Java programming.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (Unit and End-to-End).
