Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, user-centric backend technology solutions to meet business needs.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs and integrate them with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Implement structured testing to ensure high functionality and proactively address any technical deficiencies.
• Launch and maintain technology solutions while collaborating with teammates to continuously improve development processes.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, analyze logs and traces, and drive high availability across services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Design, Data & Analytics, and Marketing.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling APIs, including expertise in API versioning, documentation (OpenAPI, Swagger), and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with databases and caching layers such as CloudSQL, Firestore, and Redis.
• Experience with microservices and cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Strong understanding of secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2 and JWT.
• Solid DevOps fundamentals, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience designing web-scale architecture capable of handling high-concurrency and large traffic spikes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce ecosystem integrations such as PIM, OMS, ERP, or payment processors like Adyen.
• Familiarity with search and product discovery engines like Elasticsearch or Algolia.
• Experience with observability tools such as Cloud Logging and Monitoring.
