Senior Back-End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and own backend features using Python/Django
• Design, create, and troubleshoot integrations with third-party vendors
• Define solutions by understanding customer needs and thinking beyond code
• Balance short-term development speed with long-term technical quality
• Guide the team in making informed technical decisions and improving best practices
• Participate in code reviews, testing culture, and monitoring

Requirements

• Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications
• Experience with well-designed APIs and high-volume data pipelines
• Ability to support small JS/TS tasks when needed
• Expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• High level of self-organization and ownership
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum B2 English level
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation (1 week every 5 weeks)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python/Django (though the team is tech-agnostic)
• Background in Java/Spring, Node.js/Express, Ruby on Rails, Scala/Play, PHP, or Golang
